• Understand the nature of constitutions and the separation of powers.

Unit 6 Company Law and Corporate Governance (20 credits)

• Understand the general principles of formation of a company in UK law.
• Understand the role of corporate governance in the management of companies.
• Understand the concepts of insolvency and liquidation.

Unit 12 Tort Law (20 credits)

• Understand the development of common law tort.
• Understand the different torts and policy considerations.
• Understand the defences and remedies available in tort law 

Entry Requirements

• To study a The Level 5 Extended Diploma in Law learner must be aged of 18 and above. 
• No formal educational qualifications are required to study this qualification.
